Durham Commission Literature Review

The impact of Covid-19 on the English education teaching and learning environment and the potential impact on teaching for creativity.

Using the findings of studies published between March and November 2020, this literature review sought to understand the ways in which Covid-19 impacted on the education environment and schooling context for children and young people between the age of 4 and 18 in England.

The authors then considered how these changes may have impacted on factors which are important for fostering creativity and creative thinking, and on schools’ and other organisations’ ability to teach for creativity.
