The three-year Creativity Collaboratives pilot programme has
demonstrated the significant impact that Teaching for Creativity can have on both educators and students. Through this initiative, we have seen how creativity supports increased engagement, confidence, and ownership in learning, alongside important positive changes in teaching practices.
Building on these successes, the Arts Council is pleased to announce the launch of Creativity Collaboratives: Legacy Phase, which will run from September 2024 to July 2026. This phase will further explore and bring together the lessons learned with a strong focus on equity, diversity and inclusion, developing a bank of resources to support a sustainable approach to creative education.
Abigail D’Amore Associates will work with the Arts Council over the next two years to lead the evaluation for the Legacy Phase. They will take a co-design approach to evaluation, recognising the breadth of models for Teaching for Creativity and the diversity of school contexts. They will draw out national themes and trends through cycles of data collection on both impact and process, as well as collaborative reflection with schools.
Throughout the coming year, we will continue to share the insights and progress of Creativity Collaboratives on Creativity Exchange, and make sure that the valuable
work of these schools is accessible to educators across the country.
We invite you to join us in following the Creativity Collaboratives’ journey and championing the importance of creativity in shaping the future of education.
